Do you enjoy variety?

With 4 kitchens and 2 cafes within the Whangarei area, we have a rare opportunity for a passionate, adaptable, and flexible Catering Assistant who enjoys the variety of working across all these sites which are made up of aged care kitchens, an industrial cafeteria, and a public café.

This is a permanent position (30 hours per week) to cover team members when on leave and training days, so promises variety and challenge Travel to various sites is needed so your own transport would be essential.

A competitive remuneration and fuel allowance is provided.

In this role no two days are the same - one day you are serving customers in a workplace cafeteria, the next day you are helping with food preparation and dishes in an aged care kitchen (and everything in between).

To be successful you will need to love variety and be willing to do whatever needs to be done in order to make our customers smile.

Covering meal services in aged care sites,
Assisting with food preparation and cleaning,
Barista skills or willingness to learn would be an advantage,
Operating Eftpos and POS machine with a smile,
Sound Knowledge of food safety and safe food practices,
Working hard as a reliable and loyal team player who can stay cool under pressure.
