Are you an accomplished home cook looking to pick up a part-time job or additional hours?

Casual position

We are on the lookout for a casual Cook who would enjoy the opportunity to share their culinary skills with the residents who call Aparangi Village in Te Kauwhata home.

This position does not require a qualified chef but would suit someone with knowledge and experience in preparing, cooking, and plating wholesome food in a home or community setting.

Recipes are provided and training will be given.

To be successful you will need to:

Be friendly and engaging and enjoy making the day of residents by serving amazing meals.
Have an understanding of dietary requirements, allergies, and food control regulations.
Be an exceptional team player with a flexible and committed attitude.
Have good time management skills.
Be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
Be comfortable taking responsibility and able to work sole charge when necessary.
