About Amor Quiohilag:

I would like to express my interest in applying as a Resource Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I hope to take part in bringing out the best in each deaf and mute tamariki in mainstream set up. I am a registered teacher in New Zealand as well as in the Philippines. Hence, I have NZQA Level 9 for my Master’s Degree in Special Education and Level 7 for my Bachelor’s Degree.

Collaborated with the IEP team to develop appropriate and functional IEP

Managed students’ behavior using ABA/CLM and Sunrise ABA Approaches

Used Slingerland Method of teaching to teach reading skills to students with dyslexia.

Created and organized fun and relative classroom activities.

Used varied learning materials and PowerPoint presentations to aid visual learning, also used YouTube related educational videos, Kahoot, and Read Theory for practice exercises.

Communicated with learners who are deaf and mute through American Sign Language.
