About Jincy Oommen:

As an ICU nurse, my primary role was to provide intensive care to critically ill pediatric and adult
patients, encompassing a range of responsibilities including monitoring vital signs, administering
medications, managing life-support equipment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring
the overall well-being and safety of patients. I have experience caring for critically ill pediatric and adult
patients and am proficient in managing patients requiring invasive mechanical ventilation, ECMO,
invasive and non-invasive monitoring, and vaso-active medications and infusions. My responsibilities
included performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized care
plans, advocating for patients' needs, and providing education and support to patients and their
families during their most vulnerable moments. Additionally, I have expertise in CRRT, ICP monitoring,
and have completed a Critical Care Course. I was actively involved in emergency responses, code blue
situations, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient care activities. Through my
compassionate care and dedication, I contributed to optimizing patient outcomes and fostering a
healing environment within the ICU for both pediatric and adult patients.

Experience

As a staff nurse in the CCU, I played a vital role in the care of both pediatric and adult patients
recovering from cardiac events and undergoing complex cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries. In the
CCU, I conducted thorough assessments of patients' cardiac status, including monitoring vital signs,
cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic parameters. I administered medications and treatments as
prescribed, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines. Additionally, I collaborated
closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized
care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. I provided perioperative care to patients
undergoing cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries, assisting in preoperative preparation, intraoperative
monitoring, and postoperative recovery management. I worked closely with surgeons and other
members of the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes throughout the surgical journey.
Through my attentive monitoring, proactive interventions, and compassionate approach, I contributed
to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the CCU for both pediatric and adult patients.
