Josiah Bull

Hi! I'm Jo, I am a graduate software engineering student at the University of Auckland. I specialise in devops and backend infrastructure.

I'm a super nerd who loves Linux, Rust, and customising the hell out of my development environment. In my free time I enjoy tinkering with my homelab, cooking, gaming, and running. I'm interested in devising unique solutions to problems that go above and beyond - learning new technologies and tools as the need arises.

I have worked at a variety of companies, usually completing an internship then spending a year at the company part time to gain a wide variety of skills. In have professionally worked with Javascript, Go, Python, and Rust. 

In the past I have developed integrations between the Ethereum blockchain and Discord for Sylo, automation tools for Blue Barn, text to speech API's for The University of Auckland, and simulation tools for Crown RTC.

I am completing my final year of a 4 year bachelor of engineering degree (honors) at the university of Auckland, with a cumulative GPA of 7.3. My final year research project focuses on dynamically generating synthetic data for ground truth machine learning.
