Health and Safety is our number one priority at Fulton Hogan, but this is not all we concern ourselves with.

Our HSQES team looks at ways to support other important changes and developments in areas such as Quality, Environment and Sustainability.

As the HSQES Cadet some of the tasks you will be responsible for are:

  • Supporting the HSQES team with tasks such as incident case management, system administration, data entry and other tasks as required
  • Support of key projects across HSQES such as subcontractor management, development of minimum requirements, audit and inspections projects. We will expect you to manage some aspects of these projects on your own with support and guidance from the rest of the team.
  • Undertaking onthejob training learning our Living Safely philosophy, site operations and systems.
  • Assisting key stakeholders with queries on our minimum requirements and our systems.
  • Selfdirected study of H&S Diploma or similar.

The Cadetship is structured as:

  • Year spent with the National HSQES team based in our Christchurch Corporate office learning our systems and requirements
  • Year 2 & placements within the business split across our Infrastructure Services, Civil and Major Projects streams.

Note:
the role will require relocation as part of the Year 2 and 3 placements. This is an exceptional opportunity and shouldn't be missed.

Previous experience in a HSQES role is not essential, we are looking for someone with an outgoing personality and enthusiasm to learn who will fit into our energetic and high performing team.
