    We are looking for an experienced New Zealand registered

    Physiotherapist

    to join our Physiotherapy team within

    Neurosurgery.

    This is a

    Senior, permanent, full-time

    role based at

    Auckland Hospital

    and offers the opportunity to

    develop your clinical and leadership capabilities

    and work within a great team including Occupational Therapist, Speech-Language Therapist and the wider Interdisciplinary team.
    Managing a clinical caseload providing comprehensive and evidence-based care to neurosurgical patients within the high dependency unit and acute ward
    Working collaboratively in an IDT
    Driving quality improvement within the neurosurgical area
    Providing clinical and operational leadership to junior staff
    Being prepared to take on delegated responsibilities from the practice supervisor as required
    You will also be required to participate in our weekend and on-call roster

    This role sits within the acute surgical team and encompasses the management of patients with a wide range of presentations including but not limited to, trauma, traumatic brain injuries, subarachnoid haemorrhages, tumour resections and spinal surgeries.

    As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
    New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
    5+ years postgraduate experience with 2-3 years of experience in this or a similar clinical area
    Proven experience in student supervision / teaching and training
    Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
    Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment
    Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
    A flexible, pro-active approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
