Maintenance Fitter

Rotating Roster 4 days on/4 days off

$40 p/hour plus additional allowances

Our client is one of the largest food packaging companies in the world They are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their busy and talented Engineering team in Otahuhu.

About the Job

Preventative maintenance and servicing of plant
Faultfinding and swift breakdown repairs
Inspecting, testing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in process and packaging areas
Assist with job planning and scheduling activities, and make proactive suggestions for improved operations, practices, and procedures
Ensure compliance with standard workplace rules, regulations and legislative health & safety requirements

Skills, Experience, & Knowledge

Relevant trade certificate or ample experience as Fitter & Turner in manufacturing setting
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering + Forklift licence desirable
Experience in pulp preparation also desirable
Competent in lathe and milling machine maintenance
Basic Arc, tig, and Oxy welding
Competent to work in a fastpaced, highvolume environment while maintaining required safety standards
