    We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Mental Health team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

    About the Role

    • This is an 11-month fixed-term position working 80 hours a fortnight on a rotating roster, including Sundays and Mondays.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in mental health settings, particularly with Maori clients, is highly valued.
    • A commitment to professional development, cultural awareness, and a willingness to learn and grow are essential for success in this role.

    • You are willing to work across the Mental Health Inpatient Continuum, embracing change and innovation.

    Key Requirements

    • Cultural awareness and knowledge of Te Ao Maori, Tikanga, and Te Reo Maori.
    • Competency in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks in healthcare settings.
    • Knowledge of the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act, 1992, and related legislation.
    • Familiarity with Sensory Modulation Principles in Mental Health and risk assessments.
