About the role


Reporting to the Asset Management Performance and Evaluation Manager, the L2 Engineer (Risk) will conduct a variety of technical investigations to deliver engineering products in a timely and efficient manner.

Using your experience, understanding and the outcome of investigations, you will propose appropriate risk controls and check technical documents to ensure it meets technical, project and quality requirements.


Key responsibilities will include:

- leading engineering products up to complexity 2 within the Engineers area of expertise.

  • Delivering an engineering investigation up to complexity 2 with mínimal oversight.
  • Delivering outputs on time, and flag to the team lead when tasks are likely to breach their due by date, this is to be achieved prior to 60% of the tasks schedule.
  • To provide support to other Engineers within the Engineering Services, in particular supporting junior Engineers.
  • Check technical documentation prior to it leaving the department to ensure it meets technical, project and quality requirements.
  • Conduct technical investigations which may turn into engineering product.

About you
You are an experienced Engineer currently working in a multidisciplinary engineering role.

Your report writing abilities are of a high standard including the ability to produce Engineering analysis and quality assurance processes.

With an interest in marine, you will have experience in the use of design standards and quality systems, desirable for vessel Classification & Statutory Regulations.

You have worked on ship surveying and auxiliary systems and are a logical thinker with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions.

Effective time management is a strength of yours as well as the ability to proactively solve problems and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
