The Doctors Ti Rakau is a busy, family friendly, medical centre. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our amazing, dedicated team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a superstar receptionist who is genuinely passionate about providing excellent service. We are looking for that special person who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service in a busy people-centred environment.

Our receptionists are pivotal to our medical centre, they are the welcoming face for our valued patients, their families and whanau.


Our reception team is dedicated, supportive and live by our values to Care For Our Community, Work Together, Look After Each Other and Do The Right Thing.

As a receptionist you will report to the Reception Team Lead and will enjoy exposure to the following and more:

  • Greeting patients on arrival and checking them in.
  • Thrive in a busy environment
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Booking appointments on phone and in person
  • Invoicing and collecting fees from patients
  • Clerical tasks as needed
  • Cash handling
You will be working with skilled clinical and administration colleagues and be supported by a dedicated medical centre leadership team


Ngā Pūkenga me ngā Wheako | Skills & Experience

  • Experience in reception, admin and customer service roles
  • Meticulous eye for detail
  • Medtech 32/Evolution desirable, training is provided
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Great decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong rapport with team members
  • Confident, friendly and approachable
