Casual Registered Nurse position available to help cover annual leave and into the New Year

  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC

Waikari Hospital recently re-opened in October and is a 10 bed Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury rural hospital which includes a variety of Patients.

It is staffed by 1 Registered Nurse, 1 Healthcare Assistant & 1 cook for am shifts and 1 Registered Nurse, 1 Healthcare Assistant for pm shifts and 1 Registered Nurse for nights.

Ko wai koe | About You

In this role you will deliver excellent nursing care as a sole charge practitioner to a variety of patients and will be involved with aged care, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care.

This Casual position would suit an experienced nurse who is available to cover the full range of shifts - AM, PM, and night shifts as rostered.

Ideally you will live locally as Waikari is situated an hour's drive from Christchurch.

  • Acute medical or surgical experience is essential
