    B A Heat Pumps Electrical Division Limited is a well-established locally owned Electrical Services Company in Wellington.

    We're currently seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer/Heat Pump Installer to join our team on a permanent basis.

    Our projects include installations, commissioning, repairs, and maintenance for both domestic and commercial clients.

    What You'll need:

    • background knowledge and experience in HVAC servicing repairs and installations
    • appropriate industry qualifications essential i.e.
    HVAC Trade Qualification and current Electrical Certificate or someone with a limited registration where we can support to get the full registration as directed by EWRB

    • approved Handler/Filler Certificate
    • Drivers Licence is essential
    • a commitment to Health and Safety

    Work Covers:
    Installing split, ducted, cassette, and multi-systems
    Pipe-fitting
    Welding
    Installing ductwork
    Commissioning and conducting testing

    The person we are looking for must:

    Demonstrates self-motivation and thrives in unsupervised work environments.
    Possesses the ability to diagnose technically challenging situations using appropriate equipment.
    Exhibits exceptional quality in workmanship.
    Communicates effectively, both in written and oral forms.

    Displays a strong work ethic and willingness to adapt to various roles when necessary (If on a limited license, capable of working unsupervised within defined role parameters).

    Maintains a professional and approachable demeanour when interacting with customers.
    Enjoys collaborating within a motivated team environment.
    Has the capacity to train and mentor apprentices, which is considered an advantage

    Prefer to start immediately; work hours are Tuesday to Saturday, minimum 30 hours per week with additional hours available.
    Competitive hourly rate ($30 to $35 per hour) based on experience, plus benefits.
    Company work vehicle and phone are included in the employment package.
