Team Leader

  • Reporting to the Supervisor, the Distribution Centre

Team Leader is responsible for leading the day-to-day shift running of the DC in their area, and ensuring exceptional services are provided in line with expectations. The role supports the DC Manager and Supervisor(s) to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the DC including meeting daily KPIs and goals, providing direction to staff and managing escalations as required.
  • The Team Leader provides leadership to develop and manage staff, ensuring staff safety at all times. In conjunction with the DCM, Supervisor(s) and other Team Leaders, this role is responsible for the area they are assigned and will coach and lead the team to achieve DC goals and objectives.
  • We currently run 3 days shifts starting from 8, 9 and 10am from Monday to Friday. Ours shifts requirements may vary depending on operational needs and there may be requirment to work weekends and public holidays.

In this fast paced, dynamic role you will be responsible for:


  • Under the leadership of the DCM and Supervisor(s), oversee the day to leadership of the relevant area in order to ensure goals and KPIs are achieved
  • Coach and lead the team to work together to achieve goals
  • Identify, prioritise and solve issues within the team
  • Plan and strategize to ensure shifts and resources meet operational requirements
  • Assist the DCM and Supervisor(s) to identify and implement resources, process and cost efficiencies as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, ensure all products are processed correctly
  • Provide clear and regular communication to employees and other stakeholders
  • Develop reports and handovers for leadership team as needed
  • Assist other DC areas as needed to ensure that overall DC goals are met
  • To ensure stock quality controls of all incoming and outgoing product is maintained to the highest standard

If you are passionate and possess the following, then we would love to hear from you

  • Strong stable people management experience (ideally managing 1025staff)
  • Effective and positively impactful leadership, mentorship, and management skills
  • Minimum of 3 years working in DC, Warehouse, Logistics/ Supply Chain environment (highly desirable)
  • Prior experience in a management role leading cross functional teams (highly desirable)
  • Efficient problemsolving skills with a questioning and continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and tech savvy
  • Strong communication skills and able to relate, partner & advise at all various stakeholder levels
  • These roles can be physically demanding and require a level of fitness with the ability to lift up to 25kgs at time.
