About the role

The Principal Reliability Engineering Technician role will provide expert technical advice relating to availability, reliability and maintainability for the Royal New Zealand Navy.

This role will support the development and optimisation of the RNZN vessels and supporting policy and processes.

In addition, this role will support the development of junior staff while further developing their own experience and leadership skills.

About you

With a keen interest in reliability engineering, and a fresh approach to the development of your own skills and those of the extended team, you will be a key point of focus for the technical support team.

You will either possess a background in a similar technical trade or previous experience in a related technical role.

A technical tertiary vocational qualification is a prerequisite to this position along with approximately 6-8 years of combined experience within asset management or maintenance fields.

Previous experience on electrical systems and carrying out RCA and Risk Assessments will be highly regarded.
