The team is supported by a registrar, a house officer and a clinical speciality nurse and moving forward an additional registered nurse to support.
The department is well equipped for all aspects of modern head and neck health care.There are opportunities to develop subspecialist interests that will complement the department's current service.
We also have close ties with allied health departments, other specialities that we interact with, as well as regional and tertiary services to provide a comprehensive package of care.
Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is situated in Hastings, New Zealand ,
a region of over 162,000 people. The hospital is a modern facility with a large range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services.
As a Maxillofacial specialist you will be supported by a managerial structure invested in providing support for you and new technologies.
The possibilities for private practice are some of the best in New Zealand, with the current maxillofacial surgeon having a very large head and neck and skin referral base, along with a thriving dentoalveolar surgery practice.
Remuneration will consist of:Qualification and experience step alignment with the
ASMS MECA
On-call allowances
Employer matched Superannuation contributions of up to 6% of annual earnings
