    Job Title: Paediatrician

    A semi-autonomous role with other general paediatricians, developing a greater community focus in a supported hospital environment.

    About the Role

    The Paediatric Service at Timaru Hospital involves general paediatrics from neonates to adolescents, with a large outpatient focus. This is a 'hands on' role with small inpatient numbers and close collaboration with junior doctors and a Child Development Team.

    You will work closely with skilled professionals motivated to make a difference, supported by good clinical systems and high standards of obstetric cover. The role includes some on call and weekend work.

    About the Department

    Timaru Hospital serves a district population of approximately 50,000, providing critical 24/7 services including ED, ICU/CCU, General, Orthopaedic, & ENT Surgery, O&G, Psychiatry, Geriatrics, Oncology & Palliative Care, Internal Medicine and Paediatrics.
