ROLE SUMMARY:


  • ACG Strathallan is a leading coeducational, nondenominational, independent school based in Karaka, South Auckland providing world class education to over 1500 students from year 013. Our primary campus is tailored to provide an excellent learning environment for students in Years 06, delivering both Cambridge and NZ Curriculums.
  • We require an enthusiastic and capable junior classroom teacher who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for student's individual needs. The successful applicant will have strength in teaching new entrants, be very well organised, enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, and be willing to contribute to the life of our school. This is a fulltime, fixed term position, role is due to commence in term and finish in Dec 2024.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Teach new entrant school learning, ensuring you create an engaging learning environment.
  • Cater to the varied learning needs and abilities within your classes to maximise student development.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.
  • Participate in wider school activities.
  • Ensure student's welfare and safety in every moment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


  • NZ Teacher registration with supporting teaching qualifications (BA and/or MBA).
  • Experience in Teaching numeracy and literacy in a primary school curriculum to a high standard.
  • Wellprepared, inspiring confidence in students and parents.
  • Flexible, committed, professional, hard working, team player.
