About the role:

This role can be based in either Auckland (airport) or Christchurch (Burnside), with a preference towards Auckland.


Working collaboratively with the Operational Safety Manager, the role will be a coach and mentor to others in the team, take a leadership role in proactive in safety and champion continuous safety improvements and safety culture with Safety and Assurance, across the organisation and the aviation industry.

The role will also provide safety advice and support safety promotion activities.


Please note this role relates to operational safety and the prevention of aircraft accidents and incidents and is not a health and safety role.


About you:


With a talent for conducting robust safety assessments and investigations, you will have proven experience (5+ years) in a safety role, preferably in operational safety as well as formal training in incident investigation.

As an outstanding and natural communicator, you will be an avid listener and your stakeholder relationship skills will be second to none


Additionally, you'll hold:

  • Specialist knowledge and experience in aviation
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Exceptional organisational, analytical, research and planning skills.

Highly beneficial:

  • Experience in Quality Management.
  • Human Factors qualification, training and/or experience.
