    Technical Officer
  • Drill and Blast to join our team in New Zealand.
  • This role provides a chance to showcase your expertise in both surface and underground operations, offering a competitive market rate salary and the opportunity to travel across New Zealand to support Orica's services.
    What you will be doing
  • Prepare and audit drill and blast designs ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards;
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize drilling and blasting processes;
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to drill and blast operations;
  • Travel throughout New Zealand to support Orica's services and build strong client relationships.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience as a drill and blast specialist in both surface and underground operations;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field will be advantageous;
  • Technical background with a solid understanding of explosives, drilling, and blasting techniques;
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients;
  • Willingness to travel within New Zealand; Self
