    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Supervisor to lead our District Planning team.

    In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning process, manage a team of planners, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape the future growth and development of New Plymouth District.

    Provide RMA expertise and process RMA and related applications.
    Monitor workflow and team throughput to ensure compliance with statutory time frames.

    Drive continuous improvement, team training and own team quality system in conjunction with team Lead and Reg services QA officers.

    Provide support and guidance to other planners in the Consents Team.
    Process complex resource consent applications and provide expert evidence at planning hearings.
    Ensure customer needs are met and deliver a high quality and costeffective service.
    Develop and maintain relationships with industry sectors.

    Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key resource management legislation.

    Eligibility for membership of a professional institute
    Extensive experience (ideally six years plus) in a resource management field, preferably in local government
