    Description

    Our client is a leading industrial automation company delivering solutions of functional safety, process control and industrial electrical for top tier customers across the country.

    We are seeking a programmer (PLC/SCADA/HMI) to join our automation and control engineering team.

    The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PLC and HMI systems to enhance the functionality of our industrial processes.

    This position requires an individual who is competent in designing, coding, simulating, and testing automated machinery and associated HMI designs within a variety of settings.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Develop, program and troubleshoot PLC systems using a variety of programming languages such as Ladder logic, structured text or function block.

    Design, develop and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems in coordination with PLC systems.
    Work with other automation engineers to design and implement control systems.
    Debug and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA and HMI software to ensure optimal systems performance.
    Maintain and modify existing systems and provide post-go-live support.
    Support diagnosis of errors or technical problems and help determine proper solution onsite.
    Produce timely and detailed service reports.
    Comprehend customer requirements and make appropiate recommendations/briefings.
    Assist with control system commissioning including instrumentation and motor control devices.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor of science in electrical/electronics/automation or related
    Proven experience as a PLC programmer, preferably in an industrial setting.
    Proficient PLC programming tools such as Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
    HMI programming such as wonderware, factory Talk view, cimplicity, intellution or similar.
    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Willingness to travel (mainly) locally to project locations.
    Experience with electrical design will be preferred but not entirely essential.
