Role:

Our Operations Manager will lead, oversee and manage all operational aspects of our Wellington facility located in William Durant drive, Upper Hutt.

This is a full time permanent role reporting to GM Wellington.

Responsibilities:

Manage daytoday operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, fleet and logistics.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, improve productivity, and reduce costs.
Oversee the scheduling and allocation of resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders and excellent customer service.
Lead, coach and mentor a team of line managers, supervisors and frontline staff
Monitor and control of operational costs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing costsaving measures.
Diligent control over expenses related to operations, wage cost, overheads as well as wastage
Ensure FIFO stock rotation, Manage and limit missing stock, stock returns, and quarantined goods by minimizing errors and credits
Implement and enforce health and safety and food safety protocols
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
Analyse performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, systems, and overall operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in operations management, warehousing, logistics or a related business qualification.
At least 5 years of leadership experience in the warehouse and or logistics sector (Foodservices industry experience preferred).
Strong expertise in operations management, covering planning, reporting, performance monitoring, and evaluation.
Proven ability to lead and develop highperforming teams with a focus on operational efficiency and health and safety.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for positively influencing team dynamics.
Excellent problemsolving abilities and a strategic mindset.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
