    Senior Health and Safety Advisor (Accessible Properties)


    Our preference is for candidates to be located in Wellington, but we are also considering applications from Auckland and Tauranga.

    Mō te tūnga | About the role

    As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor reporting to the IHC Group GM Health and Safety, you will be embedded in the Accessible Properties (AP) team and play a pivotal role in providing specialist health, safety, and risk advice to the senor leadership team, managers, and workers at Accessible Properties.

    Your responsibilities will include coaching and mentoring managers and workers to foster a positive safety culture, providing specialist contractor management support, participating in health and safety initiatives, and contributing to the development of health and safety policies and systems.

    You will also assist in the delivery of management and governance reports and support health and safety related audits and assessments.

    Previous experience in Health and Safety Advisor/Specialist role, preferably in property management or social housing.
    Proficient in health and safety legislation and regulations.
    Skilled in database management system analysis and monitoring.
    Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
    Experienced in report writing, training facilitation, and influencing others toward safe practices.
