    Description

    This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role with a strong technical focus, where you'll shape the roadmap for HR systems while still staying close to the tools. Joining an organisation that is going through a "HR Systems Reset", this is your chance to audit and review the current state, and forge a pathway ahead to uplift their existing technology, as well as scope out opportunities for additional technology to add to their tech stack. 

    The Role

    In this role you'll manage a team of three, leading them through the delivery of HR system support and improvements. However, this is not a hands-off leadership role. In this role you'll be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in to the work, whilst also providing the technical expertise to guide the team and supporting your manager in setting strategy and building a roadmap for HR systems. Key responsibilities include:

    • Leading and coaching a team of three HR systems specialists.
    • Acting as SME for the HRIS and Payroll systems, and providing technical expertise and guidance.
    • Developing and delivering the HR systems roadmap.
    • Supporting integration between existing systems.
    • Driving process improvement, system enhancements, and stakeholder engagement.

    About You

    This is a role for someone with proven expertise in HRIS and Payroll technology who wants to use that knowledge to influence at both technical and strategic levels. You don't need to be the finished article as a leader — if you bring the technical experience, this client is willing to support you to grow into an effective leader and people manager. You'll bring:

    • Strong technical experience in HRIS systems, including hands-on configuration and support.
    • Understanding of how HRIS systems integrates with payroll systems.
    • The ability to translate technical issues into clear, practical advice for stakeholders.
    • A collaborative and proactive approach, with an eye for process improvement.
    • Leadership potential Whether you've led before or are ready to step into your first people leader role.
