    Delivery Agent - On Call Timaru | Christchurch/Canterbury

    On call opportunity – as and when required

    Once known as the 'Postie', the new world of mail and parcel delivery means that as a Delivery Agent you are the "go to" person for customers on your round, answering questions and resolving or escalating issues.

    Our Delivery Agents are key front-line ambassadors for NZ Post and are an integral part of delivering world class services to our customers.

    On Call Delivery Agents are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required.

    You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to balance work and lifestyle

    You'll be the "face" of NZ Post out in the community - interacting with our customers as you deliver their mail and parcels, collecting signatures and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

    You'll work alongside a dedicated team to process and sort mail from our

    Timaru Operations Centre in Treneglos Street,

    before going it alone out on your delivery route, using sustainable e-vehicle (Paxters) or motorbike
    Delivering regardless of the weather, rain, hail or shine – you need to be hardy
    We are looking for people who love to get the job done Can you tick off the following?
    Availability to work on call from 7am (although we can be a little flexible with start times) Monday to Saturday
    A minimum of a restricted or full NZ Driver's License or Motorcycle License
    Be ready for a physically demanding role – our Delivery Agents are really fit and deliver for the customer rain or shine
    Have a high level of numeracy and literacy – so you can get all that addressing information sorted
    Ensure your own and the health and safety of your colleagues
    Going the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
    And above all, a passion for doing a great job and getting it right each and every time
