Description

About the business
The Pure Food Co.

was founded in 2013 after watching a family member's illness make it impossible for him to eat and get the nutrition that he needed in order to recover.

We set out to uncover how other people with such challenges coped and were shocked to find that older people especially were struggling.

In fact, almost a quarter of older people are malnourished, meaning that they are more frail, less independent and too often unhappy.

This needed to change.

Our mission is to nourish the world's vulnerable with high-quality food and world-class nutrition. Good quality of life starts with quality food.

Developed by food & healthcare experts, we now supply 90% of NZ hospitals, most of NZ's largest retirement villages and the 2 largest food service companies in NZ.

We are also about to begin our global export journey, starting with Australia.
