Our Financial Stability Group (FSG) develops and implements prudential policy to protect and promote the stability of New Zealand's financial system.

This helps maintain public trust and confidence in our banks, insurers, non-bank deposit takers and Financial Markets Infrastructures.

It also reduces the risk of a financial crisis that could seriously damage the economy, and the prosperity and wellbeing of New Zealanders.

We are looking for two Senior Analysts to join the Prudential Policy Department that sit with the Financial Stability Group.

Te tūranga - The roles In each of these roles you will be working as part of a team of experienced and highly regarded colleagues.

These roles will be involved in all aspects of policy development from problem identification and the analysis of different policy options through to the drafting of consultation documents and industry engagement.

You are expected to play a key role in contributing to the development of clear and effective policy and guidance for banks, insurers, non-bank deposit takers and financial market infrastructures.

These are unique opportunities where you will work in areas that will have a direct impact internally and externally.

There is also the opportunity to contribute to/lead innovative research on key policy topics like ongoing work assessing the liquidity of New Zealand's financial system and the design of new tools to resolve financial institutions.

Ō pūkenga - About you To be successful in a Senior Analyst role, you will bring:

- professional experience in public policy, regulation, law, relevant financial services or a related area.
- good academic qualifications in economics, accounting, finance, law, or a related discipline.
- the ability to communicate clearly to a range of audiences, orally and in writing.
- strong analysis and report writing skills.
- the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and be a team player with a positive, enthusiastic "can-do" attitude.
- familiarity with the financial sector or an interest in the financial sector and a willingness to learn.
