The Digital function at F&P is positioned to deliver strategic initiatives in support of our organisational growth aspirations.


We have over 130 people in the team, spread across strategic functions such as Project Delivery, Operations & Service Delivery, Cyber Security and Data Analytics.


At any given time, we have over 40 large digital initiatives underway spanning across a wide range of diverse and leading-edge technologies.


About the role


We are seeking a skilled and motivated System Specialist to join our Business Solution team and play a key role in implementing and supporting R&D systems, with a specific focus on PCB data using Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) tools which are integrated into a broad range of engineering functions and processes.


As part of this role, you will:

  • Assist with determining and communicating best practices to ensure the highest quality and suitability.
  • Support the continued operation and maintenance of business systems.
  • Assist with system design and validation (SDLC), including change management activities.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as testing, patching, and upgrading to ensure systems are current, secure, and stable.

We will expect you to have:

  • Engineering degree majoring in Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or similar.
  • Experience with ECAD software such as Altium Designer, PADS, or similar.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics, PCB layout design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in product development/electrical design.

Prior experience of projects in a regulated work environment such as oil & gas, aerospace, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food manufacturing would be advantageous as well as experience in a large multi-disciplinary environment.
