    Description

    Our client is seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join their team as a Dairy Farm Assistant in Invercargill.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the health and welfare of livestock while assisting with various farm operations, The minimum working hours, per fortnight shall be 70 hours per fortnight.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Patrol, inspect, and report on the condition of livestock to ensure their well-being.
    Provide feed, and water, and implement feeding and welfare programs for livestock.
    Assist with birthing and rearing of young livestock as needed
    Feeding, milking, and other farming operations.

    Wash, clean udders, and sterilize milking machines to maintain hygiene.
    Assemble, prepare, and store livestock feed according to feeding schedules.

    Carries out milk harvesting tasks as directed and develops correct skills to milk efficiently and safely Implements dairy hygiene requirements.


    Farm Maintenance:
    Erect and repair fences, maintain and clean livestock housing, and other infrastructure.

    Operate and maintain farm machinery, water supply, and irrigation systems.

    Data Collection and Technology:
    Operate data collection and farm technology systems as required. Qualification and Skills
    Good character and health background, backed up by police and medical certificates.
    Honest, punctual, and keen to continue learning.
    Enjoy working in a team environment.
    Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Drug Testing:
    Regular drug testing will be conducted to ensure a safe workplace environment.
