    Constellation Brands New Zealand (CBNZ) is a grower, producer and distributor of globally recognised wine brands including New Zealand's own Kim Crawford, Selaks and Tipping Point.

    One of the largest wine companies in NZ, the company is a division of Constellation Brands Inc which is headquartered in up-state New York in the USA.

    The NZ business is responsible for Wine & Spirit sales of a global wine portfolio across the International Division (all countries excluding the USA) and the operational activities in New Zealand and Italy.

    About the Role
    We are looking for one laboratory technician to work at our largest winery Kim Crawford winery in Rapaura, Blenheim. your primary responsibility will be to conduct laboratory analyses, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

    You will be responsible for compliance with Laboratory Procedures and Quality Systems, ensuring that all testing is performed in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.

    Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be crucial in maintaining the consistency and integrity of our products.

    Additionally, you will be responsible for meticulous record-keeping, ensuring that all data and results are accurately documented and easily accessible.

    Key Responsibilities
    Conduct comprehensive laboratory analyses to support CBNZA production processes.
    Conducting laboratory chemical and microbiological procedures
    Carrying out testing and trials and assisting the Senior Laboratory Technician.
    Maintain accuracy and consistency in test results.
    Provide valuable Quality Assurance services to the Winemaking and Viticulture teams.
    Meticulously record and document all data and results.
    Laboratory harvest operations.
    About You

    You are an experience laboratory technician with a minimum of two years experience within a manufacturing plant, winery, or the food and beverage industry or large scale production facility and you hold a Minimum Level 2 or 3 NCEA in Science subjects, or qualifications in allied fields.

    Your experience in laboratory analysis, preferably in the wine industry, has equipped you with a strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and quality systems.

    You have demonstrated essential experience and proficiency in the use of the Vintrace Database, and preferred experience with FOSS Winescan S02 module analyser, experience in MP-AES, GC-IMS, PCR and predictive cold stability testing.

    You are known for your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Your excellent record-keeping and documentation skills are a testament to your professional approach.

    You thrive both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating the ability to multitask and manage your time effectively.

    Your strong problem-solving and analytical skills set you apart, and you are familiar with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
