A great delivery driver is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.
On the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve.
The goal will be to ensure that delivering goods procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
Requirements and skills
- Working knowledge of diverse highspeed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Understanding of Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Teamwork and communication skills Physical stamina and strength Responsibilities.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
Tasks Include:
- setting up, controlling and monitoring the operation of machines, plant and equipment.
- cleaning carrier, plant and equipment and performing minor repairs.
- transporting goods to set destinations.
- receiving, loading, unloading and dispatching goods.
- determining the destinations of goods and most appropriate delivery routes.
- maneuvering vehicles into position for loading and unloading
- assisting with loading to ensure goods are arranged for ease of delivery and safely secured to avoid damage.
- verifying loading documents.
- arranging and performing unloading operations and obtaining certification of deliveries.
- reporting vehicle maintenance needs.
- may receive payments for deliveries and arrange accounts.

Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 30 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Shift work
Ability to commute/relocate:
- East Tamaki, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
