    The Company:


    For many years, our client has been designing and building custom systems for the dairy, beverage, and other liquid food processing industries of New Zealand, as well as Australia and other parts of the world.

    They also have the widest range of process equipment and filling and packaging machinery on offer and offer a wrap round service in including process design, plant installation and commissioning, plant optimisation, maintenance services, and support, to enable them to service a very wide range of food processing industries.

    This role will have a dairy industry focus, with growth areas into the beverage (wine and beer), drinking water, trade waste industries, etc.

    This company is in growth mode across several different market sectors, so depending on the new Sales Engineer's background, the focus of this new role can be customized to suit their particular strengths.


    About the Role:


    On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced and technically capable Capital Equipment Sales Engineer, to perform a position that covers Technical Sales, Account Management, new business and Projects.

    This role could be based in Auckland, Waikato, Manawatu, or Taupo and there will be some national travel involved.

    We are looking for those who are confident in managing existing customers as well as acquiring new customers through prospecting activities and can build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.

    We need someone who will take ownership of the sales process, managing it from the initial quote through to its acceptance and then ensure the after-sales service always meets the customer's requirements.

    To do this successfully you will bring a strong blend of technical intelligence and sales ability, relationship management and a desire to grow a business.


    Rewards:
    $110 K - $140 K base + Car allowance + bonus

    About you:
    Preferably has a background and existing networks in the dairy industry.
    Has experience selling turnkey capital equipment projects (as opposed to individual equipment items or consumables)
    Ideally has technical knowledge of liquid food processes
    Proven sales skills in new business as well as managing existing accounts.
    Ability to plan and implement a strategic sale process across what can sometimes be a very long sales cycle.
    Is proactive to maximize all new business opportunities.
    Ability to determine customers' current and future needs and present the right solutions.
    Communicates with confidence & intelligence – be commercially savvy
    Strong technical ability (Technical or engineering background beneficial)
    Confident systems and CRM experience
    Solid project management skills
    Be able to travel nationally.

    You will need to use plenty of initiative, be a keen problem solver and be able to think outside the square.
