    About the team:
    Auckland or Wellington-based, you'll work in the Capital Investment team.

    This team is part of the Investments and Project Governance Centre of Excellence, a centralised team that services our business to deliver valued outcomes for Spark and its customers.


    About the role:


    As an Investment Business Partner, you'll be working in a dynamic and constantly evolving industry helping to ensure we invest in the right things that cut through to customer needs, helping Spark to grow market share and revenue.


    Responsibilities:

    • Working with our internal stakeholders, you will facilitate the development of multi-year investment plans comprising of initiatives relating to the introduction of new technologies, lifecycle, performance,


    capacity, and coverage, and will support the business in the execution of these initiatives in order to realise the agreed business benefits.


    • You'll assist with managing to our annual capital envelope by ensuring timely and accurate forecasting of under-action and planned initiatives.
    • You will support the business with the complex set of trade-offs between customer requirements, technology, execution, and available capital, ensuring our investment choices deliver optimum shareholder returns and customer outcomes.
    • You'll ensure that we apply the right level of governance to our capital planning and capital management activities; that we adhere to agreed group policies and that we look to continuously improve our internal governance processes.
    • You'll develop and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant areas across Spark, with a particular focus on business owners, finance teams, and key planning and delivery resources.

    What you need:

    • An accounting degree would be an advantage in this role
    • Experience in working closely with delivery and commercial teams
    • Business, commercial and financial acumen
    • Strong financial modelling skills
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
