_ About the role_


We currently have two roles available with the opportunity to contribute to a welcoming, professional and responsive library and service centre, delivering outstanding customer experiences to our community.


Engage with our customers from all walks of life as you build rapport and actively promote our wide range of resources, services and technology.

Support our community with lifelong learning and discovery as you deliver library and outreach programmes. Display, maintain and promote physical collections and use your digitial literacy skills to troubleshoot with our customers.

The hours for position one are as follows, based at Te Ara Ātea

  • Sunday 9.30am 4.00pm
  • Monday 8.30am 5.00pm
  • Tuesday 8.30am 5.00pm
  • Wednesday 9.45am 6.15pm
  • Thursday 9.00am 5.30pm
The hours for position two are as follows, based at Te Ara Ātea and Darfield Library/Service Centre

  • Wednesday 8.45am 5.15pm (Darfield)
  • Thursday 8.30am 5pm (Te Ara Ātea)
  • Friday 9.30am 5pm (Te Ara Ātea)
  • Saturday 9.45am 4.15pm (Te Ara Ātea)


While each role is based at the above location, there will be opportunities to work across all sites and deliver outreach with the Edge Connector Vehicle.
