Job Description for This PositionStudying drawings to determine job requirements
Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock
Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, and metal cutting machines
Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting
Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions
Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing and grinding
Assembly steel structure on site
Key Requirements for Successful Applicants:
Be qualified with at least 3 years working experience as a Fitter Welder in structural fabrication and/or general engineering environment.
Health and safety conscious
Be able to work unsupervised and good communication in a team both in the workshop and on the site
Be enthusiastic, motivated and show initiative
Work to a very high standard
Be self motivated, punctual and ready to work
Be able to work for nightshift and/or on the weekend
Depending on skills, experience and qualifications, the salary will range from $27to $30.00 per hour.
