Our School of Health & Counselling is seeking a highly motivated Counsellor who has been in practice for a minimum of 3 years or have had significant counselling experience and is a member of NZAC or NZCCA who has either a background in teaching or who is passionate about embarking on a teaching career.

It is also preferred that the applicant holds a Master's qualification (or is working towards one) in either counselling.

You will bring strong organizational and time management skills, be a self-starter with a good sense of humour and have patience and flexibility.

You will also have the ability to lead and work as part of a team and be adept at using your initiative.

You will be research active in this role. You will need outstanding communication skills and enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.


This is a Permanent part time (0.4 FTE) role based primarily at our Manukau campus, however student placements visits may be required and you may be required to travel around the greater Auckland area so a current full NZ Drivers Licence will be essential.

It would also be favourable to have a passion for creative and expressive modality.
