Field Technician - Hastings (Permanent Seasonal)

The Opportunity:

As a (BAFS) Biosecurity & Field services Technician at AsureQuality, you will drive to local farms in the Hastings and surrounding areas and perform TB testing on livestock.

Occasionally you will also help with blood sampling for live animal export certifications, vaccinations and biosecurity tasks.

The purpose is to deliver both on- farm and Biosecurity tasks to support farmers and with animal health services, market access certification, live animal export certification and disease control.

There may be opportunities in the role for cross-skilling to support other workstreams.

This is a permanent seasonal role, which involves working full-time (40 hours per week) from 1st November to end of July however we are flexible with these dates for the right candidate.

About You:
You will be a great fit for this role if you have the following:
Prior experience handling livestock on a farm
Great at negotiating and planning
A clean and current driver's licence
Great verbal communications skills and good at speaking with farmers
Be organised, responsible and able to work productively without supervision
Motivated and have a great attitude
