    Registered Mental Health Nurse Position in Regional Rehabilitation Inpatient Unit

    We invite applications for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley's Kenepuru Hospital/Porirua.

    Location: Porirua/ Wellington - Tawhirimatea Unit

    Service: Regional Rehabilitation Services

    Contract: Full-time/permanent (1 FTE) rostered and rotating schedule

    Salary: $75,773.00 - $106,739.00 per annum (MECA salary scale)

    Tawhirimatea is a 29-bed safe care facility rehabilitation unit within Te Korowai Whariki - s Rehabilitation Service. This regional service supports people on their journey with a multi-disciplinary approach.

    You will work collaboratively as part of a team, providing guidance and direction to Mental Health Support Workers while assisting them in undertaking care activities.

    Your active listening skills and solution-focused approach will help foster person-centred goals within the pathway journey. You will have the ability to learn new skills and concepts required to support your role within the team, along with effective communication with team members, service users, and their families. You will ensure that all nursing-led documentation reflects a person-centred approach and promotes independence.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of clinicians committed to promoting excellent relationships through positive interactions with service users, their families, and communities. A current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate is required for this role.
