We are looking for a Cook to join our super busy kitchen, if you think you can tick off all the below boxes - please get in touch

SHIFT WORK REQUIRED INCLUDING 7AM
KITCHEN OPENING, LATE NIGHTS, WEEKENDS, PUBLIC HOLIDAYSAND BREAK SHIFTS.

• The ability to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
• Ensuring that all meals in your section are presented & portioned according to the standard recipes & food photos and meet the correct food costs
• A good knowledge of baking caf products, preparing cooked breakfast, sandwiches, pastries sweet and savoury, dressing of display food cabinet
• Ensure all cooks within your section are familiar with the days requirements including prep, functions, rosters and service
• Ensure all products are being kept securely and under the correct conditions applicable to each type of commodity stored
• Preparation (or supervision) of the stocks and sauces, ensuring flavour and consistency in relation to the standard recipes and food photos.
• Cook Grill/Mains: Duties are to prepare and cook all the hot mains/grill items and to control the pass/kitchen service. Need to ensure that all meals are served within the time frame the kitchen demands
• Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen
• Regularly update your knowledge and skills for the good of the establishment and attend training sessions as required
• Cook Cold Larder: Duties are to prepare hot and cold desserts and accompanying sauces, warm and cold salads and achieve this within the time frame the kitchen demands
• Setting prices and negotiating with suppliers, choosing suppliers according to budget and quality
• Record stock levels and arrange purchasing of goods
• Any other duties the employer may reasonably require

Have a strong work ethic, be able to work well under pressure and be reliable.
