This is a fantastic opportunity for a horticulture graduate with some hands-on experience to learn on the job.

Working closely with an experienced Orchard Manager you will be:

• Putting your recent learnings into practice
• Learning all there is to know about kiwifruit from our experienced team of Orchard Managers
• Assisting with the training and management of our staff and contractors
• Helping to ensure quality and work standards are met within budget and to company guidelines
• Assisting with implementing and managing all orchard strategies and activities
• Assisting with the management of a portfolio of kiwifruit orchards either owned, leased or managed by Punchbowl PackCo

You'll be joining a group of passionate individuals that fully support each other and believe in what they do.

The pay range for this position is between $27.76 to $29.66 per hour. Overtime is payable at the standard hourly rate for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.


About you:


You will have:

• A University Degree in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, AgriCommerce or AgriBusiness
• A minimum of 18 months in a growing environment (this can be part time while studying), kiwifruit would be an advantage
• The ability to maintain strong Grower and Industry relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good problemsolving skills and a positive attitude
• The ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours including weekends
• Computer skills especially basic excel and outlook
• A great attitude and an appetite to learn
• A legal right to work in NZ as defined by Immigration NZ

Situated in Patumahoe, Rural South Auckland, Punchbowl owns and operates managed and leased Kiwifruit and Blueberry orchards throughout the Auckland and North Waikato areas.

We also run a busy seasonal packhouse and cool-store facility. We pack approximately 4 million trays of kiwifruit and 25 tonnes of blueberries annually.
