    About the Role

    As a key member of our Anaesthesia team, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality perioperative care across a range of surgical specialties. You will contribute to both planned care and acute services, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes.

    You will join a team of experienced and supportive anaesthetists working alongside a highly competent surgical and ICU team, all dedicated to excellence in patient care.

    You will be responsible for participating in the anaesthetic roster, covering planned care and acute theatre sessions, anaesthesia after-hours on call support, anaesthetic pre-assessment clinics, and working as the duty anaesthetist.

    About the Team/Service/Location

    Nelson's Anaesthesia team is made up of experienced consultants, skilled anaesthetic technicians, and registered nurse assistants to the anaesthetist. We pride ourselves on our collegial environment, with strong interdisciplinary collaboration and a commitment to continuous learning and development.

    We provide anaesthesia support to other departments including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Mental Health, and the Emergency department.

    We also offer anaesthesia for visiting specialty surgeons in Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastics, and Maxillofacial Surgery.
