    As a Kaiwhakatere (Navigator) you will engage with our whanau in their development and utilisation of an exciting project called Nga Tini Whetu.

    Servicing our whanau/community in both Whangarei and Kawakawa
    Nga Tini Whetu acknowledges the importance of a healthy and fertile environment for whānau to flourish. We liken pēpī to a seed, the māmā provides love and protection while she carries pēpī.

    Upon entry to this world the whānau continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the pēpī to grow.

    The forest provides protection and sustenance to the environment of which allows pēpī, māmā, and the whānau to flourish. Providing a Whānau Ora inclusive approach focusing on the strengths and capability of the whānau, growing whānau connections, supporting the development of whānau leadership and enhancing best outcomes for whānau and their pēpī

    ABOUT YOU

    You will have a lot of energy and an ability to work and engage with a diverse range of whanau.

    Preferred applicants will have
    Previous experience working with Mama and Pepi
    Active and meaningful networks that can support our Mama and Pepi to grow and thrive.
    Experience in applying Tikanga Maori as it applies in the role is desirable
    Ability to understand and form appropriate professional relationships with whanau.
    Established community networks and awareness of whanau, Hapu and Iwi development.
    Able to demonstrate practical understanding of the aspirations and challenges facing Maori communities
    Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work as part of a team

    Ngāti Hine Health Trust (The Trust) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022.

    From humble beginnings, the Trust has grown to become an exponential leader in oranga (wellbeing) services within the Northland community.

    The Trust delivers across multiple sectors including health, disability support, mental health & addictions, primary care, justice, corrections, housing, education, social services, reo irirangi Māori and Whānau Ora.

    We have locations in Kawakawa (Head Office), Whangārei (Business Support) and satellite offices in Kaikohe, Pakaraka, Moerewa and Kaeo.

    The size and complexity of the Trust can be measured with, circa 30 June 2022:
    $40M revenue, 400+ kaimahi and over 100 funding contracts and/or agreements.
