Chef - Wellington, New Zealand - Curry Lounge Limited

Curry Lounge is looking for a Chef who can prepare and cook all various dishes in Indian cuisine such as Tandoori dishes, curries, Indo Chinese items, and south Indian Snacks.

The role is full-time and permanent with a pay of $32.00 per hour with a minimum of 30 hours per week to maximum of 40 hours per week.

• Must have at least five years work experience in an Indian kitchen set up.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.
• Must be flexible with work timings.
• Must be physically fit to work in the kitchen.

• Prepare and cook dishes as per client order.
• Freeze and preserve foods as and when required.
• Consider customer dietary requirements if any.
• Planning and developing of menus.
• Estimating and ordering supplies.
• Monitor and demonstrate new recipes, techniques and train staff to avoid food preparation issues.
• Ensure that all appliances are in working condition by ensuring they meet all applicable laws relating hygiene and safety.
• Ensure the quality of foods before they leave the kitchen.
• Ensure that the kitchen is always kept clean.
