Enjoy a rewarding and varied role as a Quality Technical Coordinator within our Building department.

This role plays an important part in helping our team be effective in their roles to ensure our built environment remains safe and fit for purpose through:

  • developing and maintaining quality policies and procedures,
- making ongoing training happen, and
- assisting the delivery of the operational and strategic objectives of the team.


You'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals within a growing organisation, supporting our vision to be the leading local government regulatory unit in New Zealand.


Working in our forward-thinking team you will provide efficient implementation and coordination of our regulatory building responsibilities and relevant legislation.


The experience you bring means you'll:
- have a working knowledge of quality systems,
- be competent in writing clear procedures,
- champion and provide guidance to staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed, and
- strive for continuous improvements through team engagement.

  • An understanding of the building industry and legislation (beneficial)
  • Hold or be working towards a relevant qualification
  • Initiative to independently solve problems and make decisions
  • An elevated attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Advanced communication and digital skills
  • Experience coordinating training, travel and accommodation
  • 5 years or more in a similar role (preferably in a regulated environment)
  • The ability to relate well to a wide range of people by being open minded, positive and approachable
