About the role


We are currently looking for a Village and Care Manager who will lead our dedicated village and clinical teams ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care at our Oaks Village located in Papakura.


Reporting to the Operations Manager who is in the area to offer support and guidance, you'll have responsibility for all aspects of the village, including strategic planning, service and care delivery, asset and financial management ensuring our village remains vibrant and ready for the future.


These roles are special in many ways within Metlifecare, its your charisma, empathy, leadership, respect for others point of view that enable you to navigate and find solutions to all sorts of problems as they're presented.


About you

The Village and Care Manager wears many hats and therefore must be organised and really care about the residents and the team in the villages.

We are looking for that special someone, who has:


  • NZ Nurse Registration with a current practising nursing certificate
  • Previous experience in a clinical leadership or staff management role
  • 5+ years in an operational management role at a "people" business advantageous if this has been in aged care
  • Proven ability to quickly build relationships with residents, staff and internal/external customers
  • Excellent financial acumen, including sales focus and P&L ownership
  • Leadership of teams and culture experience, a natural leader who is a skilled communicator and adept at navigating through the day to day demands of a busy vibrant village
  • Strategic planning experience to be able to contribute to the big picture, but equally look outside the industry to innovate
