- Ensure that goods are delivered undamaged and on time
- Monitor deliveries
- Arrange efficient delivery routes
- Be the first point of call for drivers
- Assist with laoding and unloading goods from trucks
- Communicate with senior employees, such as transport managers, to locate ways to make the transportation process more efficient, for example - limiting damaged goods
- Conduct quality control checks
- Maintain and report KPI's regarding fuel tax reporting, mileages, stock levels and on time delivery
- Be the point of contact for complaints or feedback from drivers and clients, re-directing them to suitable parties if necessary
- Review driver timesheets
ABOUT YOU: - Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail to maximise efficiency and minimize errors
- Problem solver - Being able to process information quickly, identifying potential solutions or contingencies
- Leadership - Have the ability to motivate, guide and implement decisions with authority
- Understanding of scheduling and logistics - Creating routes, coordinating with drivers and planning schedules
