Senior Sustainability Manager - Newmarket, New Zealand - Bupa

Where You'll Make an Impact:
- Lead environmental stewardship and climate action initiatives to support how we work with customers and improve our internal business practices
- Develop, implement, monitor, and report the APAC Sustainability Action Plan
- Work alongside Australian and Hong Kong peers to conduct research and benchmark key sustainability trends, frameworks, and formulate responses to suit Bupa's circumstance
- Develop business cases and funding bids for projects to support the sustainability strategies and targets to deliver domestic strategies, regulations, and commercial activities
- Sustainability strategy including partnering with appropriate areas of Bupa APAC to deliver:
- Sustainable culture and mindset; ESG Data, Insights and Technology; ESG Risk; Business growth; and Expertise
- Support the Australia and New Zealand Bupa Foundation including managing New Zealand flagship partners and community grants cycles which support Bupa's goal of investing 1% profit back into the community each year
This manager role is an opportunity to sink your teeth into a breadth of sustainability work, including research, partnerships, driving change and delivering results, and working across the wider APAC team to deliver Group strategy and initiatives.
What about you:
- Tertiary qualifications or post tertiary study in a discipline related to sustainability
- Familiarity with the sustainabilityrelated regulation and policy e.g., climate, nature, sustainability risk, and disclosure
- Development and implementation of sustainability strategy and programs that deliver commercial and societal outcomes
- Analytical skills to source, interpret and translate environmental sustainability data points into feasibility concepts for a nontechnical audience
- Positive attitude and growth mindset
- Ability to quickly establish within a large and complex organisation to deliver outputs within defined timeframes
- Ideal experience leading change management or stakeholder engagement programmes to drive sustainability behaviours and capabilities
