We seek suitably qualified candidates for the role of Quality Assurance Coordinator to be based at our Tokoroa Plant.
Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager you will be accountable for:
Quality Control
Assisting with investigations of quality concerns, customer complaints and non- compliance to specifications and provide reports as directed
Release / disposition of finished products and ingredients
Assisting with the development and maintenance of supplier quality assurance systems
Ensuring adequate control of non-conforming product occurs to prevent release
Managing the services and calibrations of lab equipment as per manufactures guidelines
Ensuring document control measures are in place and maintained for the Quality department
Any other duty assigned by management

Accreditation & Compliance
Achieving and maintaining HACCP and FSSC accreditation for the site
Monitoring legal compliance checks and analyses for all products
Monitoring latest technical developments and research, assess new equipment options and improve efficiencies / reduce costs.
Equipment Maintenance
Organize servicing and calibration of register as per manufacturer's guidelines and quality plan.
Assist with ensuring effective cleaning and maintenance of equipment and buildings and ensure adequate security and personal hygiene measures are in place and adhered to.
Implementing, managing and maintaining all Quality and Food Safety SystemsAnalysing Quality data to provide ongoing valuable feedback to enable continual improvements in quality
Developing and maintaining standards / specification in relation to packaging materials, product, and customer specifications
Assisting with investigations of quality concerns, customer complaints and non-compliance to specifications and provide reports as directed
Managing the services and calibrations as per manufactures guidelines and the Quality plan
Achieving and maintaining HACCP and BRC accreditation for the site
Monitoring legal compliance checks and analyses for all products
This role is suitable for someone with food industry experience, with an understanding of dairy supply and processing and internal audit experience .
Data management and analysis skills, procedure writing skills, and the ablity to influence and motivate others to achieve change, able to analyze and interpret technical data and have strong document control management skills are essential.
