Description
We are looking for several senior Project Controls and/or Project Management Consultants to join our Project Management team across New Zealand (Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch).
This team collaborates with and provides quality project outcomes across a range of high-profile engineering projects that you will be proud to put your name to.
This role will suit your innovative and digitally focussed approach to project management, as we continue our journey of achieving smart, sustainable, pragmatic and efficient outcomes for our clients.
Our team is expanding and growing due to various successful project wins and a solid pipeline of projects, along with key pursuits we consider as 'must-wins'.
This role presents a unique opportunity for people with some to significant financial management experience to broaden and solidify their knowledge across all project management competencies.
In a senior role you'll provide visible leadership and utilise your excellent communication, negotiation and trust building skills while also offering a steady hand of reliability and timely delivery.
You'll join our existing team of Project Management Consultants to assist with the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects for our key clients, predominantly in the Transport related market.
You'll need to be flexible across projects ranging from small local road safety improvements through to large road and rail infrastructure improvements, where future sustainability is key.

- Provide project management services to project team(s) which includes planning, progress and quality reporting, change management, to maximise delivery of the Aurecon client experience;
- Take responsibility for project controls by ensuring that Aurecon processes and systems are applied to your projects;
- Use your experience to identify issues then proactively consider and implement effective solutions to ensure project outcomes are achieved;
- Taking accountability for financial performance including invoicing, forecasting and earned value reporting and providing insights to enable robust governance;
- If not acting as the Project Manager, working closely with or assisting h the Project Manager with financial management of scope (change control) and timelines (scheduling)
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for being at the forefront of transport projects that will shape the future of transport networks.
You will need to have gained good exposure to financial management and project management, with a desire to develop your career within the project management area.
